I first saw the art of Kari Kroll in the Pasadena Showcase House of Design back last April.
It was used in this teen girl bedroom by Jeanne Chung, of Cozy, Stylish, Chic in Pasadena, on the walls and then styled in a bookcase.
Here’s more about that gorgeous showhouse first floor and then second floor where this bedroom was located.
I started following her on Instagram, because artists are some of my favorite people to follow there. I love seeing them post about their work, process, inspiration.
This was the image that soon really caught my eye.
Isn’t that collage of colorful paintings fun and glorious?
I just love it!
Kari Kroll - Background
Kari is from Long Island and studied Illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She earned success as a commercial artist creating collage art for publications such as The New Yorker, Entertainment Weekly, Bon Appetit and The Washington Post.
After putting her artistic career on hold for a time to raise her children, she jumped back in painting. She specializes in abstracts and collages for the home at a good price point. Kari often works with designers and stagers to create site-specific pieces for projects.
Kari encourages everyone to use original art in their home to layer in color, texture, pattern and style. Have a look below at how these works can do just exactly that!
She does black and white graphic pieces too.
Loving this splash of color in a neutral space. Just what the doctor ordered, right?
Got a favorite color you’d like to see in a piece of art for your home? Kari does commission work too.
Kari takes orders and responds via her Instagram account. You can DM her there to get just the right splash of color or graphic pattern for your home!
Follow her on Instagram to add some spice to your feed. :-)
