The two main reasons I publish this blog are to...
- Help people understand the processes involved in developing a design.
- To shed some light on how interior designers work.
Most people don’t quite understand the amount of time and effort that's required to produce a beautiful end-result. That's why I like to periodically devote a blog post to sharing some perspective on projects currently in progress.
Oh, and another reason: It's really hard for me to hold back about projects I’m working on that I think are going to turn out to be really special. ;-)
We’ve been super busy since Christmas! Well, actually, we’re always super busy (knock on wood ;-)
Right now we're in the process of finishing off one bathroom remodel so the homeowners can begin using it while we tear out and completely remodel their master bath. Here are some highlights.
- We pushed the back wall of the tub area into the garage by a foot and used a linear drain to compliment the bathroom's zen feel.
- The linen weave pattern in the tile and the teak wood add to this overall look.
- This beautiful little bathroom has a zero entry and a rolling shower door to make it more accessible and open than it was before.
A former client has come back to us again. (Gotta love that!)
Last summer I shared a few pics of their house on Instagram where we used paint, new wood flooring, and a fireplace remodel to give their home a fresh update. Now we’re doing their dining room and we’re more excited than ever to see how it comes together for this delightful young family.
Oh, and I’m saving the remarkable “after” images of the remodel for some professional shots we’ll get when the dining room is done.
We just presented this warm, Americana styled, design plan for another former client who has returned to us. We previously did their game room and home office, and we're now working on their living room, breakfast room, and kitchen.
Here's a look at a beautiful palette of neutrals with a touch of gorgeous blue and some black accents. Love it! :-)
Take a look at this striking runner we installed after the Holidays on a stair in a coastal style home. Stark carpet is one of my faves. :-)
And this boring little powder room (far right) is about to receive instant drama with some gorgeous Ralph Lauren wallpaper!
This is merely a smattering of what we have in the works right now.
I promise I'll fill you in on some more sneak peeks asap. In the meantime, if you have any projects you want to share, feel free to upload images of what you're working on, along with a link to your website (if you have one), so everyone here can ooooh and aaaaah over your designs too!
