For a design enthusiast, an eatery, shop, or even a dentist office featuring inspiring design can make you want to return.
After all, value doesn’t only have to be about the food, the products, the service, etc. — especially when an establishment’s offerings are complemented by beautiful design and decor. It’s the design that creates the mood. It’s the design that creates the image. It’s the design that creates the interest and the desire to return.
Because even if a place’s products aren’t stellar (and it’s very likely they are), the image that the design leaves in the minds of its patrons can be enough. It says... This is interesting! This is special! This owner cares. ;-)
One such place my family loves to visit in downtown Houston — a place where I often go to meet my son and future daughter-in-law for brunch — is…
Hearsay Gastro Lounge.
Recently, my daughter and mother-in-law came along with my husband and I, to meet my son, and his fiance at the Hearsay Lounge to catch up with each other. We had a great time that was undoubtedly accentuated by the building’s crusty, old atmosphere, interesting details, and live music. Altogether, it was an ambience of coolness. And if you’ve ever visited this part of the country, you should know…
Finding even a hint of an ambience of coolness is a rare discovery here in hot, suburban Houston. Which is why I made sure to capture its vibe to share here with you.
