This home has so many cool places to lounge, live, work and play, you will find yourself craving that California indoor-outdoor lifestyle, no matter what part of the world you are from.
I toured this home back in April, when I visited Dwell on Design with the Modenus Blogtour group. It is designed by CHA:COL, Inc., and was such a pleasure to tour.
This home was multi-level, with balconies and terraces off just about every room in the house, extending the square footage and livability of the home immensely. It was really amazing the privacy that each of the spaces had, even though it was all very open.
You know that each of the residents could find a private nook somewhere within, where they would not be disturbed, if desired.
That is always such a problem with open plan living.....privacy and sound traveling within the home. It can create real problems with day to day living.
This architect seemed to have mastered the art of creating both open and more private spaces that could be enjoyed in many different ways without even having to close a door.
That aside, the indoor-outdoor lifestyle it celebrates really impressed me. Oh, how I could see entertaining on that patio right outside the living/kitchen area and then parties that spilled over onto the side deck and up to the pool. It's such a seamless transition.
I also love the plank natural wood used to bring warmth, combined with the white exterior and interiors.
Have a tour for yourself, below, and I think you'll agree. This is easy living. :-)
