In response to my last post about some advice for a 5'x10' bathroom remodel, I received an email, with pics, from a reader who had remodeled his small bathroom.
This is going to make your jaw drop.
John Walsh the owner of a Spanish / Craftsman Bungalow in Minnesota, did a great job.
Here are the before pics.
It was dated, tired, with fixtures that weren't working well, and as he said, the toilet was way too small. He figured out that with the location where it was, it had to be small or the door swing would hit the toilet on the way in to the bathroom.
In this two bedroom, one bath home, his bathroom needed to function better. Especially since he was not yet ready to add on to the house with a new master suite, which he planned to do on down the road.
He switched the toilet and sink in the remodel for a more logical location and created this spectacular, updated bathroom with some classic touches that stay true to the style of the home.
We often modify the windows in a bathroom, just like he did here, getting rid of dated glass block and doing higher windows, especially in a shower situation like this.
I just love it!
Thanks, John, for sharing your small bathroom makeover with us!
Here are some of the products he used.
All bath faucets: Kohler Purist line
Toilet: American Standard Town Square
Tub: Kohler Performa series
Sink: Duravit Vero Wall Hung with Sink Console in chrome
