I kind of love Vegas, even though I don't gamble at all, not even one slot machine!
I don't know why, maybe because I come from humble beginnings in small town Texas, and the bright lights and big city opulence is kind of fascinating to me.
I took my husband this time and we met my daughter there for the weekend. I've got a few pics of some of the glam and glitz of Vegas and then more on my market finds, below.
We went to see the Beatles LOVE show by Cirque de Soleil, and it was mesmerizing. Loved the music, the color, the crazy acrobatics. I highly recommend it on your next trip to Vegas.
We stayed at the Aria and although I've stayed there before, I don't remember seeing this beautiful marble floor. It's so effective as it is the lower floor with escalators coming down from above on to this pattern. Really quite spectacular.
Check out this amazing structure in the middle of a mall that houses a restaurant. Like a modern treehouse or something.
And it wouldn't be Vegas without a pic of the Chandelier Bar. :-)
Las Vegas Market Furnishings Finds
Below, I have some of the beautiful vignettes I spied at market. I mentioned before, in my post about the art that I saw, that millennial pink was on trend? Well, you can see that here.
I saw a lot of mudcloth and similarly inspired fabric patterns. I think almost every showroom had a mudcloth something around.
Global Views always showcases some unique furnishings. One of my fave wallpapers from Cole and Son drew me in to their showroom. Look at the size of that mirror!
I've written a post about crocheted home decor a few years ago and guess what? It's still on trend! Thank you, young Bohemians.
Something for the mancave?
These tables from Bungalow 5 are fab! The bases come in several finishes, tops are different materials and sizes. A perfect item to customize and throw a little glam into your room.
Maybe I was getting a little weary when I walked into the Pillow Bar showroom, but as a side sleeper myself, I was intrigued by their unusual shaped pillows, the Dr. Mary Side Sleeper Pillow Down Filled Pillow.
Whoopi Goldberg loves this pillow apparently, so who am I to argue! I ordered two, one in each fullness, to see how they worked. I'll let you know how they sleep! The salesperson, below, demonstrated how they work. Ahhh, I can't wait to try them out.
I found a few of these items out there online and I'm sharing some links. As usual....
