If YOU are a passionate cook, foodie, or kitchen design lover then a visit to the Culinary Institute of America Copia, is an absolute MUST SEE whenever you make a trip to Napa.
Of course, you can take my tour of beautiful images, in this post. ;-) It’s full of interesting eye candy…….
The main attractions for outsiders visiting CIA Copia is the fabulous restaurant located within, the gift shop, and the Chuck Williams Culinary Arts Museum.
This post is sponsored by Signature Kitchen Suites Appliances, as they paid for my trip with the Design Hounds to Napa. All opinions and commentary are my own.
The mission statement and dedication upon entering….
Inspiring, no?
This stand of aromatic spices and the huge sculpture of glass grapes hanging in the two story space passed before you get to the museum give you the sense of the importance of ingredients and the locale.
Chuck Williams Culinary Arts Museum
Chuck Williams, founder of Williams Sonoma, bequeathed his vast collection of cookware to the CIA, upon his passing.
What a treat to see this collection. The copper molds filled the main wall.
There were so many different kinds of molds, they filled more shelves too.
Have a favorite animal? I’ll bet there is a mold here with it’s liking. ;-)
This display had some of the oldest culinary items displayed in the collection.
This is a ribbon candy maker. Bet you always wondered how they made that!
Coffee anyone?
The gift shop at the Culinary Institute of America Copia
The gift shop contained some antique cookware items to buy along with new items, cookbooks, etc.
CIA Copia Restaurant
We had a lovely lunch in a private dining room in the restaurant there. Many thanks to our hosts for this trip and tour, SKS Appliances, whose wine refrigeration columns and appliances are featured in the demonstration kitchen in the Chuck Williams Culinary Arts Museum.
I loved being with my Design Hounds friends, experiencing this special part of our trip.
Don’t miss this stop in your trip to California’s wine country!
Need some copper molds for your kitchen wall? They make a spectacular and impressive display.
You can start your own collection right here. :-)
