I really love patternless decorating.
But there is something to be said for a bold pattern.
Bold patterns create an energy, bring movement, and add personality and pizazz.
And couldn’t we all use a little pizazz?
I’m particularly loving patterned tile floors.
Tile floors with bold patterns can provide just the punch you need in a space. You can have patterned tile, or create patterns with your tile.
Not to mention they’re more forgiving with soil and wear and tear!
Small scale or large, an overall pattern on the floor can add so much to a room.

I love these two fun, graphic tile floors from eateries in LA.
More fun patterned tiles in the bathrooms at The New American Remodel in Orlando, seen during KBIS. They really add interest to a bathroom where surfaces might tend to be more plain and boring.
Traction was needed in this wheelchair friendly bathroom for slip resistance. A vintage look tile provided some interest while making a roll-in shower more accessible.
